THE GAME

SCORING

Gameplay scoring this year is a very unique concept we have come up with.

The point system is currency.

Win a game, earn currency from the game masters.

Complete mission cards/tasks, earn currency from the game masters.

Currency MAY be stolen from the other team.

Teams may trade currency for whatever reason they deem necessary. For example, If the North Koreans capture one of your team mates, or vice versa, you may make whatever deal you need to make to get them back, including buying them with your currency. Or you could fight for them back. It is advised to work with your team leaders on that. (Though personally,  id go down fighting if possible.)

The amount of currency will remain a complete secret until the weekend is over. Not even the game masters will know how much either team has.

Game masters will randomly be playing during the weekend as well. We see everything!

KILLS

Kill-shots only! A player is only considered "dead" if they are shot in the head or torso. You can also use a colored marker or rubber knife for melee kills. When "killed" a player must raise their arm and/or gun in the air, and move out of the way to respawn at their base, wait for a medic. (a player can leave and go to the safe zone/resting area when they have been "killed"). Some games also have a medic for revives, there are 2 medics per team in case 1 goes down. Referees are on-site to monitor game.

SLEEPING

Field Passes include a camping pass. Players can bring a tent, sleeping bag, etc. With the non-stop nature of the game Players can sleep whenever they choose, wherever they choose. There is a safe zone with no trees and cut grass where they won't be disturbed and can buy food and drinks from the concession stand. Otherwise, a player can sleep anywhere in the battleground if they choose to constantly stay in the game at their own risk. Camp in your fort as a strategy if you want! Tipis also available for rent (see store)

GAMES, MISSION CARDS, AND MORE.

Some examples of your objectives in the game. NOT ALL GAMES AND SUCH ARE LISTED HERE. EACH TEAM COMMANDER WILL BE GIVEN A PACKET WITH THE SPECIFICS AND WILL BE KEPT SECRET FROM THE OTHER TEAM!

TEAM OBJECTIVES: Maintain your base of operations: Protect and defend it at all times.  Complete assigned missions; hold the objectives.  Take action to harass and interdict the opposing team's objectives and missions.  Score as many points as possible in the allotted time frame.  Keep your commander alive.

VERBAL MISREPRESENTATION OF SIDES: Is allowed. You are NOT required to tell the truth about which side you are playing for.

COMMANDERS & COMMANDER ELIMINATIONS: Each team will have a commander and team leadership structure designated by that commander. The commander is in complete control of the side. Follow your commanders; they have the overall picture and information of how the game is going and what is happening. Check in with them often and let them know what you did, saw or completed. This information is valuable and vital to your team. Rotate out and pull base security.

OUTPOST CAPTURE

There are many different outposts out there in the playing field. Certain outposts must be claimed by certain times to earn currency for your team. A map will be released at a later time with not all, but MOST outposts. Some outposts you will be required to find on your own throughout the weekend.

INTEL RECOVERY

Important information is discovered inside a case at a random outpost. Retrieve the case and bring it to your home fort to secure your team a point. If you are killed while carrying the case you drop it where you stand.

HOSTILE TAKEOVER

4 bombs are going to blow when a timer goes off. There are 4 control centers close together in a designated war zone. Rush to tag a control center to secure that bomb for your team. Every time the control center is tagged it switches owners. Whoevers controls a missile when they blow secures a point for each bomb for their team.

Medic Game

THE MAZE

A close quarters maze, 4 enter, 1 leaves. A great way to earn extra currency.

SPY HUNTER: Brought to you by French Lick Manhunt!

Spies were discovered. As night falls, hunt them down. They are minimally armed. Your team will be given tracking devices to help find the spies. Each spy taken down is a currency for your team.

Solo hunt incentive!

Hunt with your team and you get tracking devices, and the help of your teammates. However, French Lick Manhunt has offered a reward for going out solo! Hunt solo and you get no tracking device, and must go out by yourself. If you take down a spy you'll still get a point for your team, but, you'll also get a free steak the next day!! Hows that for motivation?

New game mechanics

New touches to the game to shake things up and provide a unique experience.

P.O.W.

If you can, you may capture the opposite teams members and hold them hostage. You may get your members back by fighting for them, and making a deal with the other team.

Traitors!

There are TWO trait on each team. They will be randomly selected on the day the event starts. Only the Game Masters know who the traitors are. not even the traitors will know who the other traitors are. At any point over the weekend the games master will yell at the traits to trade, and they switch sides. NOTE: This will only happen one time. After that initial game is over, the traitrs may choose to stay traitos, or trade back to their starting team at ANY point for the remainder of the weekend

Special Role Characters : Team Commander Chooses These Roles For Their Team

ENGINEER:

These players have the ability to rebuild structures which have been previously blown up. To rebuild a structure, the Engineer must remove ALL the Demo Tape from a structure and carry the tape off of the playing field to dispose of it. Ripping through, tearing a piece off, or removing and throwing the tape on the ground are incorrect. An Engineer is considered a LIVE player while removing the tape and is subject to all applicable rules.

MEDIC:

Able to heal players on the field. They must reach the player within one minute, and wipe the paint from the player. At this point, the player is again a live player and can resume play. A player may only be healed twice per insertion. HEAD SHOTS are NOT able to be healed! A head shot means you're eliminated, no matter what - this is specific for daytime play. All hits are fatal at night! Medics do not work at night.Add a description about this item

GATHERING INTELLIGENCE:

Reporting outgoing missions to your commander is of great importance. You can sit on the outskirts of the enemy base and report to your commander where missions are headed and troop strength.

Did the team you're spying on just acquire a valuable prop?

Do you know where the team is stashing its valuable props on the field of play? Can you raid this stash without being seen, then get the props back to your real team without being shot or made as a spy?

Some Mission Types

MISSION TYPES:

The teams will start the game occupying their  bases. All objectives will be  located throughout the field. Missions will be called in randomly, via radio to your commander. To earn currency you must complete the mission at its designated area. Some missions will require you to HOLD a specific area for a period of time, others will require an action to be taken within a specified time period. A game master must sign the completed mission card  for you to receive currency.

ASSAULT:

Means just that - to assault the objective for the length of time specified. Whether all your troops are eliminated doesn't matter, you must run an assault on the objective. At least one player must remain alive to present the completed mission card to a ref. This is the exact opposite from snipe. Generally, this mission will be allotted a specific troop strength to be sent out.

DEFEND:

Means to defend the objective from enemy troops for the duration of the mission. At the end of the time specified, you must still be in control of the objective to have defended it. Example: Defend your base of operations (command bunker) for 1 hour.

DEMO:

You will have a specific mission where you need to destroy the objective within a time frame. A Demo expert must complete this mission. Example: Destroy the bridge/building/tower/bunker located at coordinates XYZ. Once this is done, a mission player gets the card signed off.

REPAIR:

You will have a specific objective which you need to rebuild within a specific time frame. An Engineer must go on this mission and rebuild the specified structure at the given coordinates by removing all the Demo tape from the destroyed objective. Example: Rebuild the bridge at ZZXY. Once the objective has been rebuilt, hand in the mission card to a game master. (ref)

PATROL:

In these missions two (2) objectives will be given. Your troops are to actively patrol from location A to location B for the designated period of time. They can not go out and lay down in an area; they must be patrolling from point A to point B to complete the mission.

AMBUSH:

Usually, but not always the counter mission to a Patrol mission. You'll go out and set up an ambush at the coordinates specified and wait the prescribed time period, while eliminating as many enemy troops as possible.

SWEEP:

Similar to a Patrol in that you move between two locations for a designated period of time - as well as actively engaging to eliminate any and all enemy forces.

TAKE & HOLD:

To gain control of the objective and hold it for the amount of time specified. If it's a building, it means to actually have a player inside the building in complete control of it. Example: Take and Hold the enemy's base of operations for 1/2 hour.

 LISTENING POST:

Much like a Recon mission with the addition of inserting personnel into an area to remain undetected for the duration of the mission while obtaining intelligence information.

RECON & REPORT:

For your players to physically go out and VIEW the area in question for the specified amount of time and obtain the intelligence. They must report back to the base commander with the information (what they viewed) before they will receive the requisite mission currency. This can be done in person or by radio. Example: Recon the enemy's base of operations.

PHOTO RECON:

Exactly the same as a Recon & Report with the addition that the intelligence you gather must be done in a photograph. The better the picture(s) (showing players or bases, etc.) will increase the currency bonus on this mission! Pictures needing a magnifying glass to view anything or showing a big tree will be worth much less! The game masters may specify the number of pictures to be taken.

RETRIEVE:

Locate, secure and return the object (the mission objective) to your commander within the time frame specified. Example: Go to the center of the field and retrieve the object (an orange drop box) and return this box to your commander.

SNIPE:

To snipe or, in simplest terms, have a player infiltrate the area and fire a paintball ONTO the assigned objective within the specified amount of time. (Opposite of horseshoes, close does not count.)

MEET & GREET:

Sometimes during scenario games, there are missions where you don't want to kill the objective, but would rather talk and see what you can find out, or maybe, if you're lucky, get a valuable game prop or information. Example: Meet the peasant at the east end of the field. Gather intel. OR... Meet and greet the farmer and retrieve the object he found in his corn patch. OR... Greet the shadowy figure, which will soon be approaching your base of operations.

PROPS:

All game props must remain IN PLAY  during the game. You can not take them out to your car and STASH them, nor lock them up in your commander's box!

Many people find it interesting or amusing to make or bring props from home - we welcome it. If you can sell it or trade it to the opposition, then go for it. All props should be cleared with game masters, who will make a determination whether or not it will be of value, but either way the opposition will not know until the game is over.

WHEN

April 9th, 10th and 11th - 2021

3 Days of all-out war!

Schedule

Each team will be given a private schedule, with missions and secrets randomly radioed in to each team by the game masters.
